Why do the planets in our solar system orbit the sun?
Why do the planets orbit the sun? basically means why the planets go around the sun. The word orbit means a planets natural path because planets
both spin and move around the sun and the earth orbits around the sun to cause seasons to happen and for time to go on and the earth spins 365
times for it to be an year and one spin for a day.
The sun is a massive object biggest in our solar system. It has the largest gravitational pull and keeps our solar system in place.I think the sun is
a giant star that has hydrogen that can convert to helium . The sun is why we live. Without the sun we could die without vitamin D and without heat it
would be like the ice age again.
The planets in our solar system are Mercury,Venus,Earth,Mars,Jupiter,Saturn,Uranus,Neptune. Jupiter is the largest planet by far in our solar system it
contains 90% hydrogen and 10% helium it is one of the gas giants. Mercury,Venus,Earth,Mars are the closest to the sun which means the have shorter
years than the other gas giants because the inner planets don't have to orbit the far a distance. If you did'nt know why the sun doesn't orbit the plants is because the lighter objects orbit the heavier one because the sun keeps the solar system together.I think if the sun orbited the planets the planets orbit would expand greatly all over space until they find something heavy to orbit.
Our solar system is filled with objects such as comets, planets, asteroids, chunks of ice, dust and stars.Every single thing in our solar system orbits the sun.
the solar system probably started about billions of years ago but nobody knows for sure because nobody saw it but it most likley started when the big bang
happenned it started from a cloud to a star then to a sun which was the first object created and started the planets and as soon as planets were there they
immediately started orbiting this massive star.
The reason the planets orbit the sun is because the gravitational pull from the sun and the planets natural force of movement keeps it in its area and not expanding
through out space plus it spins and moves but, not all planets have a perfect rotation some are different shape most of them are not even shapes there are sququils
curves but they all orbit the sun because of that reason.
